and Pine Senior Housing |
This low/moderate income senior housing project is built in air-rights over a United States Post Office. Hafl of the 63 housing units are self-contained apartments. The other half are residential hotel type units with a common kitchen. The post office was designed without consideration of the housing above. Therefore a structural slab was necessary to transfer the non-aligned vertical loads of the two buildings. The slab also supports extensive landscaping and outdoor spaces. |
